How I block apps & websites on my computer
Trying my best to stay focused and mindful of how I spend my time.

Using an app called Cold Turkey, I have created the following blocks on my computer. They are all password protected by my wife, so I get to bug her if I ever need something unblocked, or to add new blocks.
๐ก This is a setup that happens to work for me right now.
It's "missing" a lot of things that other people would probably want to block.
It is a system that is constantly changing and evolving, and will never be "perfect".
I bother my lovely wife at least once every two weeks to type in her pin so that I can adjust something. Typically this is when I catch myself spending too much time on a particular platform. This is just the current iteration.

Work time blocks to help me stay focused during the day
Enabled: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm
Breaks: None
Blocked Sites/Apps:
chess.com instagram.com lichess.com linkedin.com monkeytype.com nytimes.com/*game* tiktok.com

Work time blocks with some forgiveness. I can use these apps/sites if necessary, it's just annoying to open them
Enabled: Everyday 8am - 5pm
Breaks: 10 minute break whenever I want, but I have to type 222 characters of random words.

Enabled: Everyday 9pm - 4am
Breaks: None

Time Limit
Shouldn't need to spend more than an hour a day on these platforms.
